EquaDots Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 July 2026
EquaDots is a mobile logic puzzle game developed and published by MK Universal Solutions Ltd.
This Privacy Policy explains how EquaDots handles app data, device features, external links and support communications. EquaDots is designed as a private, offline-first puzzle game. The core game is fully playable without an EquaDots account, without adverts, without behavioural tracking and without an EquaDots-owned backend server.

2. Data Stored On Your Device
EquaDots may store limited app data locally on your device so the game can work correctly and continue from your previous session.
This local app data may include:
- your current or last saved puzzle state;
- locked or given puzzle cells;
- player-entered dots;
- relation markers used by the puzzle;
- selected board size and difficulty;
- the generated puzzle seed used for a Puzzle ID;
- elapsed game time;
- undo history where needed for gameplay;
- local app settings such as sound effects, haptics, motion effects and reduced visual effects;
- technical app state needed to restore the game reliably.
This information is used only to provide the game, restore your last session, keep your settings, support local Puzzle ID functionality and make the app work reliably.
EquaDots does not upload saved games, settings, Puzzle IDs, puzzle progress, timer data, motion settings or local gameplay state to MK Universal Solutions Ltd, Firebase, analytics services, advertising services or any EquaDots-owned backend server.
3. Puzzle IDs
EquaDots includes a local Puzzle ID feature. A Puzzle ID allows the same generated puzzle setup to be restored locally on the same device or entered on another device.
A Puzzle ID is based on puzzle information such as board size, difficulty and generation seed. It is not an account identifier and is not intended to identify a player.
When you choose to copy or share a Puzzle ID, that action is initiated by you. The copied Puzzle ID may be handled by your device clipboard, operating system share functions or another app you choose to use. EquaDots does not upload Puzzle IDs to an EquaDots-owned server.
4. Motion Effects
EquaDots may use device motion data for an optional visual effect. This is used only to create a subtle on-device board parallax effect while you play.
Motion data is processed on your device in memory to calculate a small visual movement. EquaDots does not store, transmit, log, profile or associate motion data with any identity.
You can disable Motion Effects in the app settings. If Reduced Visual Effects is enabled, Motion Effects are also disabled to improve smoothness on older or slower devices.
On iOS, the operating system may show a motion access prompt before motion data is used. The prompt exists because iOS treats motion access as a protected device feature. EquaDots uses motion data only for the visual parallax effect described above.
5. Sound Effects And Haptics
EquaDots includes optional local sound effects and haptic feedback for gameplay actions, errors and completion feedback.
Sound effects are bundled inside the app and are not downloaded from a server at runtime. The app does not record audio and does not request microphone access.
You can disable Sound Effects and Haptics in the app settings.
6. Data We Do Not Require You To Provide In The App
EquaDots does not require you to create an account or provide the following for normal gameplay:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your phone number;
- your postal address;
- payment details;
- login details;
- date of birth;
- profile information.
The app also does not request access to your:
- location;
- contacts;
- camera;
- microphone;
- photo library;
- calendar;
- health data;
- Bluetooth;
- messages;
- phone call logs;
- tracking permission.
If you choose to contact MK Universal Solutions Ltd separately by email, website form, app store review, support page or another user-selected method, you may choose to provide your name, email address, message content or other information needed for your enquiry. That support communication is separate from local EquaDots gameplay data.
7. Advertising, Analytics And Tracking
EquaDots does not contain adverts.
EquaDots does not use advertising SDKs.
EquaDots does not use third-party analytics SDKs.
EquaDots does not use Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics inside the app, Meta/Facebook tracking SDKs, advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking technologies.
EquaDots does not track taps on About links, support links, privacy links or project links for advertising, profiling or analytics.
EquaDots does not sell personal data and does not use app data for behavioural profiling or advertising.
8. Internet Access, External Links And Backend Services
The current EquaDots app is designed as an offline-first game. The core game does not require internet access and does not use an EquaDots-owned backend server for gameplay, accounts, sync, analytics, adverts, leaderboards or monetisation.
The Settings/About section includes public links to the EquaDots project page, support page and privacy policy. These links open only when you choose to tap them. When you tap an external link, EquaDots asks your operating system to open the relevant public page in your device browser or another suitable external app.
EquaDots does not silently open webpages, does not embed these pages inside an in-app web view, does not use these links for advertising or behavioural tracking, and does not track whether you tapped them.
Opening an external webpage may use your device internet connection and may involve your browser, operating system, network provider and the website you choose to open. Those services may process normal technical information needed to load a webpage, such as IP address, browser information, device information, page requested and time of access. That processing is outside the local EquaDots gameplay experience.
The Android release/main app manifest is not designed to request internet access for the core game. On iOS, general internet capability does not normally require a runtime permission prompt, but EquaDots does not rely on an EquaDots-owned backend for core gameplay.
If you open external support links, app store pages, website pages or contact MK Universal Solutions Ltd outside the app, those actions may use your browser, email app, app store app or another service selected by you. Those external services are outside the local EquaDots gameplay experience.
9. Platform Services
If you download EquaDots through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the relevant platform provider may process information connected with your download, app installation, device, platform account, store interaction, crash reporting, payment history where applicable to your account, or app update delivery.
That platform processing is controlled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, account settings and platform terms. EquaDots does not control those platform systems.
EquaDots does not currently use Apple Game Center or Google Play Games Services for achievements, leaderboards, friend comparison or platform social features. These services may be considered in a future version only as optional platform features. If such features are added, this Privacy Policy, App Store privacy information and Google Play Data safety information will be updated before release.
10. System Device Backup
Locally stored EquaDots app data, including saved games and settings, may be included in normal iOS or Android device backups depending on your device settings.
This is controlled by your device, operating system and platform account settings. EquaDots does not provide its own live cloud sync and does not use an EquaDots-owned backend, CloudKit database, Firebase backend or developer-accessible cloud storage for your local gameplay data.
If your operating system restores app data from a previous device backup, some local EquaDots data may reappear according to your device backup settings.
11. Deleting App Data
Deleting EquaDots from your device should remove local EquaDots app data from that device, subject to normal iOS or Android backup behaviour.
If your device restores app data from a previous backup, some local app data may reappear according to your device backup settings.
Because EquaDots does not use an EquaDots account system or an EquaDots-owned backend for saved games, MK Universal Solutions Ltd normally cannot access, view, export or delete gameplay data that exists only on your device.
Deleting the app may not delete information you have already sent separately to MK Universal Solutions Ltd or to a third-party platform, for example by email, website form, app store review or other external support method. To request deletion of support communications held by MK Universal Solutions Ltd, contact us at [email protected].
12. Contacting Us
If you contact us for app support, app enquiries or privacy-related questions, we will use your contact details and the information you provide only to respond to your enquiry and deal with the matter you raised.

13. Legal Basis For Support Communications
Where you contact us by email, website form, app store channel or another support method, we may process your contact details and message content on the basis of legitimate interests, namely responding to your enquiry, providing support, maintaining basic business records and protecting our services from misuse.
If your enquiry relates to a legal or regulatory matter, we may also process the information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
14. Retention Of Support Communications
We keep support and privacy-related emails, app support messages and related communications only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry, manage follow-up communication, maintain business records, protect services from misuse or comply with legal requirements.
Local EquaDots app data stored on your device is controlled by you and remains on your device unless you delete the app, remove the data through your device settings where available, or restore it from a device backup.
15. Your Data Protection Rights
Under UK data protection law, you may have rights in relation to personal data we process about you, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection, depending on the circumstances.
Because EquaDots does not use an EquaDots account system or an EquaDots-owned backend for gameplay data, MK Universal Solutions Ltd normally cannot access, view, export or delete saved games, settings or puzzle progress stored only on your device.
For privacy-related requests, contact us at [email protected].
16. Children
EquaDots is a general-audience logic puzzle game. It is not designed to collect personal data from children and does not require an account, name, email address, location, contacts, camera, microphone or payment details for gameplay.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the EquaDots app. If you believe that a child has provided personal data to MK Universal Solutions Ltd through a separate support communication, please contact us at [email protected].
17. Security
EquaDots is designed to minimise data handling by keeping gameplay data local on your device and avoiding accounts, adverts, behavioural analytics, tracking SDKs and an EquaDots-owned backend.
Where you contact MK Universal Solutions Ltd outside the app, we use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect support communications and business records from unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
Please avoid sending passwords, payment details, private keys, security credentials or sensitive personal information in support messages unless it is necessary for your enquiry and you are comfortable sharing it through that support route.
18. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle personal data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how your personal data has been handled.
19. Changes To This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if EquaDots features, platform requirements, optional platform services, support arrangements, external link behaviour, device permissions or legal obligations change.
The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date shown above.
