2. Data Stored On Your Device

MKUS Hub may store limited app data locally on your device. This may include cached public company, service and project content from mkus.co.uk, locally saved project briefs, readiness checklist progress, Digital Asset Expiry Tracker records, basic app display preferences, the last selected app tab, local notification opt-in preference and technical app state needed for the app to work correctly.

Digital Asset Expiry Tracker records may include domain names, website URLs, provider names, asset types, expiry dates, reminder settings, renewal URLs and notes entered by you.

Backup files exported from MKUS Hub may include locally saved project briefs, readiness checklist progress, the selected Toolkit context and Digital Asset Expiry Tracker records. These backup files are ordinary JSON files created only when you choose to export them.

This information is used only to display app content, keep Toolkit work available on your device, improve reliability, support manual transfer between your own devices and allow core information to remain available when the connection is unavailable.

MKUS Hub does not upload locally saved project briefs, readiness checklist progress, Digital Asset Expiry Tracker records, tracker reminder settings or exported backup files to an owner-managed MK Universal Solutions Ltd backend server or to third parties.

If you choose to copy, email, share, export, import or open information from the app, including a project brief, support request, generated PDF, renewal URL, asset summary or backup file, that action is initiated by you and handled outside MKUS Hub by the operating system, browser, email app, Files app, document picker, share sheet, cloud drive app or other selected app or service.

This section does not apply to information you choose to send separately by email, phone, website form, live chat, AI Assistant or another user-selected contact or support method.

3. Digital Asset Expiry Tracker

MKUS Hub includes a native Digital Asset Expiry Tracker under Toolkit. You may use it to store renewal dates for domains, SSL certificates, hosting plans, business email services and other digital assets.

Tracker records may include:

  • domain names or website URLs;
  • provider names;
  • asset type;
  • expiry dates;
  • renewal URLs;
  • reminder settings;
  • notes entered by you.

This data is stored locally on your device using app preferences. MKUS Hub does not upload tracker records or reminder settings to MK Universal Solutions Ltd, OneSignal, Firebase, analytics services or any other third party.

If you choose a reminder, MKUS Hub schedules a local device notification for 09:00 local device time before the expiry date. These tracker reminders are on-device local notifications. They do not use OneSignal and do not subscribe you to OneSignal push notifications.

On Android, MKUS Hub may include RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED for the Digital Asset Expiry Tracker. This is used only by the local notification plugin to restore already scheduled local reminders after device reboot, quick boot or package replacement where supported by Android. It does not start analytics, tracking, adverts, backend sync, OneSignal subscription or remote upload. No exact alarm permission is used.

If you open a renewal URL, copy an asset summary or send/share tracker information outside the app, that action is initiated by you and handled by the browser, clipboard, operating system share flow or other selected app outside MKUS Hub.

4. Backup & Transfer

MKUS Hub includes a manual Backup & Transfer feature under Toolkit. You may use it to export a local backup file and import that backup file on the same device or another device.

A backup file may include:

  • saved project briefs;
  • readiness checklist progress;
  • the selected Toolkit context;
  • Digital Asset Expiry Tracker records, including domain, website, provider, expiry, reminder, renewal URL and note information entered by you.

Backup files are created only when you choose to export them. MKUS Hub does not automatically create backup files and does not automatically upload backup files to MK Universal Solutions Ltd, OneSignal, Firebase, analytics services, cloud storage or any other third party.

Exporting a backup may open the operating system share or save interface. You decide where the backup file is saved or shared, for example in Files, AirDrop, email, local storage, cloud drive or another app or service available on your device. Any such external storage or sharing is controlled by you, your device settings and the selected app or service.

Importing a backup uses the operating system document picker. MKUS Hub reads only the backup file you choose to import. The app does not scan your files or access unrelated documents.

Backup import is designed as a merge operation. Imported Toolkit data is merged with data already stored on the device. Existing local items that are not present in the backup are kept. Imported briefs and checklist progress keep their original Toolkit context, so you may need to switch context inside Toolkit to see imported briefs or checklist progress.

Backup & Transfer is not a live sync service. If you make changes on another device, you need to export and import a new backup file manually.

Because backup files may contain information you entered into MKUS Hub, you should store and share them carefully. Please avoid sending backup files to others unless you are comfortable sharing the information contained in them.

5. Public Website Content

MKUS Hub may connect to mkus.co.uk to retrieve public information such as company information, service descriptions, project descriptions, support links, legal links and public updates.

These are standard web requests to the MK Universal Solutions Ltd website. The website, hosting provider, security services, CDN or server logs may process technical request data such as IP address, user agent, request time and requested URL for website delivery, security, diagnostics and maintenance.

MKUS Hub may also open selected MKUS web pages, including support pages, AI Assistant pages and live chat pages, when you choose to use those features.

6. Data We Do Not Require You To Provide In The App

MKUS Hub does not require you to create an account or provide the following for normal app use:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your phone number;
  • your postal address;
  • payment details;
  • login details.

If you choose to contact MK Universal Solutions Ltd by email, phone, website form, live chat, AI Assistant or another user-selected contact or support method, you may choose to provide your name, email address, message content or other information needed for your enquiry.

The app also does not request access to your:

  • location;
  • contacts;
  • camera;
  • microphone;
  • photo library;
  • calendar;
  • health data;
  • Bluetooth;
  • tracking permission.

7. Contact Actions

MKUS Hub may include buttons or links that allow you to email MK Universal Solutions Ltd, call MK Universal Solutions Ltd, open the MKUS website, open support pages, open live chat support, open the MKUS AI Assistant, open project pages, open app store listings, or open privacy, legal and company information pages.

These actions only happen when you choose them.

If you send an email, make a phone call, open a website, submit a website form, use live chat, use the AI Assistant or use another external service, that action is handled outside the core app experience by your chosen email app, phone app, browser, website, live chat service, AI service or service provider.

8. Live Chat Support

MKUS Hub may provide access to live chat support through an MKUS web page, including chat.mkus.co.uk or mkus.co.uk/app-live-chat/.

Live chat is optional. It is opened only when you choose to use the live chat support feature.

MKUS live chat may be provided through tawk.to or another live chat service provider used by MK Universal Solutions Ltd. If you use live chat, the live chat service may process information needed to provide and secure the chat service. This may include:

  • the message content you send;
  • your name, email address or other contact details if you choose to provide them;
  • technical connection data such as IP address, user agent, device or browser information, request time and page URL;
  • chat session identifiers, conversation history, status information and service logs;
  • cookies, local storage or similar technologies needed to operate the chat service.

This information is used to receive your support request, respond to your enquiry, maintain conversation history, protect the service from misuse and keep basic support records.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in live chat unless it is necessary for your enquiry.

MK Universal Solutions Ltd does not use live chat in MKUS Hub for advertising, behavioural tracking or third-party analytics.

The live chat provider may process information under its own privacy terms where applicable. For tawk.to, you can review its privacy information at tawk.to/privacy-policy/.

9. AI Assistant

MKUS Hub may provide access to the MKUS AI Assistant through an in-app web view or user-selected web link, including mkus.co.uk/ai-assistant/.

The AI Assistant is optional. It is opened only when you choose to use that feature.

The AI Assistant is provided through the MKUS website or related support infrastructure, not as a local on-device AI model inside MKUS Hub. If you type or submit information into the AI Assistant, that information may be processed by the MKUS website, hosting infrastructure, AI service provider or other service providers used to operate and secure the AI Assistant.

This may include:

  • the message content you choose to send;
  • your name, email address or contact details if you choose to provide them;
  • technical connection data such as IP address, user agent, device or browser information, request time and page URL;
  • conversation history, session identifiers, safety logs and service logs needed to provide, secure and maintain the AI Assistant.

Please do not include passwords, payment details, private keys, security credentials, confidential business information or sensitive personal information in AI Assistant messages unless it is necessary for your enquiry and you are comfortable sharing it through that support route.

MK Universal Solutions Ltd does not use the AI Assistant in MKUS Hub for advertising, behavioural tracking or third-party analytics.

AI-generated or AI-assisted responses may be incomplete or inaccurate and should not be treated as legal, financial, medical, security or other professional advice. For important matters, please contact MK Universal Solutions Ltd directly by email or another official support method.

The MKUS website Privacy Policy and any AI Assistant-specific privacy information published on the MKUS website may also apply when you use the AI Assistant page.

10. Push Notifications

MKUS Hub may use OneSignal to deliver optional push notifications related to app, company, project, service or support updates.

Push notifications are optional. The app may offer you the option to enable notifications during onboarding, in support or live chat areas, or in app settings. Notifications are only enabled after you choose to allow them.

For push notification delivery, OneSignal may process technical information needed to route notifications to your device. This may include push subscription identifiers, device metadata and delivery information, together with Apple Push Notification service or Google/Firebase Cloud Messaging infrastructure.

MK Universal Solutions Ltd does not use OneSignal in MKUS Hub for advertising, behavioural tracking or third-party analytics.

11. Advertising, Analytics And Tracking

MKUS Hub does not contain adverts.

MKUS Hub does not use advertising SDKs.

MKUS Hub does not use third-party analytics SDKs.

MKUS Hub does not use tracking technologies.

MKUS Hub does not use Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics inside the app, Meta/Facebook tracking SDKs or advertising identifiers.

Live chat, AI Assistant access and push notification services are used only for user-selected support, communication and notification functions, not for advertising or behavioural tracking.

12. Permissions

MKUS Hub may use internet access to fetch public MKUS website content, open user-selected links and load user-selected support features such as live chat and the AI Assistant.

If push notifications are enabled, the app may request notification permission from the operating system.

MKUS Hub may use the operating system share sheet, save interface or document picker when you choose to export or import a local backup file. This is user-initiated and limited to the file or destination you select.

On Android, the app may include permissions needed for internet access, notification delivery and restoring already scheduled local Digital Asset Expiry Tracker reminders after device reboot, quick boot or package replacement where supported by Android. This may include RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED. MKUS Hub does not use exact alarm permission.

On iOS, internet access does not require a runtime permission prompt. If push notifications are enabled, iOS may show a system notification permission prompt after you choose to enable notifications.

13. System Device Backup

Locally stored app preferences, Toolkit data, Digital Asset Expiry Tracker records and cached public content may be included in normal iOS or Android device backups depending on your device settings.

Exported MKUS Hub backup files may also be included in device backups or cloud storage if you choose to save them in a location that is backed up or synced by your device, operating system account or selected app.

This is controlled by your device, operating system, platform account settings and selected storage location.

MKUS Hub does not provide live cloud sync and does not use CloudKit, iCloud Documents sync, Google Drive API, an owner-managed Firebase backend or developer-accessible cloud storage for your app content.

14. App Store And Google Play

If you download MKUS Hub through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the relevant platform provider may process information connected with your download, purchase history, device, account, store listing interaction or app installation.

That platform processing is controlled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies and account settings. MKUS Hub does not control those platform systems.

15. Deleting App Data

Deleting the app should remove local MKUS Hub app data from your device, subject to normal iOS or Android backup behaviour.

The app may also provide a clear cached content option. This deletes cached public content and allows the app to fall back to built-in content until public content is refreshed again.

If your operating system restores app data from a previous device backup, some local app data may reappear according to your device backup settings.

Backup files that you exported, saved, shared or copied outside MKUS Hub are controlled by you and by the location or service where you saved them. Deleting MKUS Hub may not delete backup files stored separately in Files, cloud storage, email, local storage or another app or service.

Deleting the app may not delete information you have already sent to MK Universal Solutions Ltd or to a third-party service through email, phone, website forms, live chat, AI Assistant, app store platforms or other external services. To request deletion of support communication held by MK Universal Solutions Ltd, contact us at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).

16. Contacting Us

If you contact us by email, live chat, AI Assistant or another support method for app support, app enquiries or privacy-related questions, we will use your contact details and the information you provide only to respond to your enquiry and deal with the matter you raised.

For support and privacy enquiries, contact:

17. Legal Basis For Support Communications

Where you contact us by email, live chat, AI Assistant, website form or another support method, we may process your contact details and message content on the basis of legitimate interests, namely responding to your enquiry, providing support and maintaining basic business records.

If your enquiry relates to a legal or regulatory matter, we may also process the information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation.

18. Retention Of Support Communications

We keep support and privacy-related emails, live chat messages, AI Assistant support messages where applicable and related support communications only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry, manage follow-up communication, maintain business records, protect the service from misuse or comply with legal requirements.

Local MKUS Hub app data stored on your device is controlled by you and remains on your device unless you clear cached content, delete the app, remove the data manually, export it, import it or restore it from a device backup.

Exported backup files are controlled by you and remain wherever you choose to save or share them until you delete them from that location.

19. Your Data Protection Rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have rights in relation to personal data we process about you, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection, depending on the circumstances.

Because MKUS Hub does not use an account system or owner-managed backend for app content, MK Universal Solutions Ltd normally cannot access, view, export or delete local app data stored only on your device.

For privacy-related requests, contact us at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).

20. Children

MKUS Hub is a general company and project information app. It is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the app.

21. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle personal data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how your personal data has been handled.

22. Changes To This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if MKUS Hub features, platform requirements, push notification use, live chat support, AI Assistant access, website content delivery, Backup & Transfer functionality or legal obligations change.

The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date shown above.
