2. Common Checks
Before contacting support, you may wish to try the following:
- Make sure you are using the latest version of EquaDots from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Restart the app.
- Restart your device if the app behaves unexpectedly.
- Check whether the issue happens on one puzzle only or on every puzzle.
- If the issue relates to a specific puzzle, copy or write down the Puzzle ID before starting a new game.
- If sound effects are not playing, check that Sound Effects are enabled in the app settings and that your device volume is not muted.
- If haptic feedback is not working, check that Haptics are enabled in the app settings and supported by your device.
- If motion effects do not work, check that Motion Effects are enabled in the app settings and allowed by your device.
- If the app feels slow on an older device, enable Reduced Visual Effects in the app settings.
- If a saved game does not appear after reinstalling the app, check whether your device restored app data from an iOS or Android backup.
3. Gameplay Help
EquaDots is a logic puzzle based on blue and amber dots. The aim is to complete the board while following all puzzle rules.
The main rules are:
- Every row and column must contain the same number of blue and amber dots.
- Three identical dots cannot sit next to each other in a row or column.
- The = relation means neighbouring cells must match.
- The × relation means neighbouring cells must be opposite.
- Given cells are locked and cannot be changed.
If a puzzle does not complete, check every row, column and relation marker. The app may also show visual feedback when the board contains a rule conflict.
EquaDots may delay visible error feedback briefly while you are tapping through possible dot states. This is intentional and helps avoid aggressive error flashing during normal gameplay.
4. Puzzle IDs
EquaDots includes a Puzzle ID feature. A Puzzle ID allows the same generated puzzle setup to be restored locally or shared with another player.
If you contact support about a specific puzzle, please include the Puzzle ID where possible. This helps us understand which board size, difficulty and generated puzzle you are referring to.
A Puzzle ID is not an account identifier and does not identify you personally.
5. Saved Games And Local Data
EquaDots stores saved games, settings and puzzle-related state locally on your device.
The app does not provide an EquaDots account, live cloud sync or an EquaDots-owned backend for saved games.
If you delete the app, local EquaDots app data should be removed from that device, subject to normal iOS or Android backup behaviour. If your device restores app data from a previous backup, some local app data may reappear according to your device settings.
6. Privacy
EquaDots is designed as a private, offline-first puzzle game.
- No EquaDots account is required.
- The core game works offline.
- The app does not contain adverts.
- The app does not use third-party analytics SDKs.
- The app does not use behavioural tracking.
- The app does not sell personal data.
- The app does not use in-app purchases, paid unlocks or subscriptions.
For more information, please see the EquaDots Privacy Policy.
7. Permissions
EquaDots does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photo library, calendar, health data, Bluetooth, messages or tracking permission.
On iOS, the app may request access to motion data if Motion Effects are enabled. Motion data is used only on your device for a subtle visual parallax effect while you play.
You can disable Motion Effects in the app settings.
8. App Store And Google Play
If you installed EquaDots from the Apple App Store or Google Play, app downloads, installation, updates, platform account issues and store availability are handled by the relevant platform provider.
EquaDots is a free app and does not contain in-app purchases, paid unlocks or subscriptions.
For problems with the app itself, please contact MK Universal Solutions Ltd by email and include the details listed above.
